The Catalan Tax Agency, in view of the current exceptional situation caused by COVID-19, has published the measures adopted in relation to the deadlines for the tax processing procedures and services for citizens.
Suspension of tax periods
Thus, in accordance with the declared alarm status, the following measures are adopted:
- Suspension and interruption of the terms of the management, inspection and collection procedures.
- Suspension of prescription periods and expiration.
- Suspension of face-to-face care. Previous appointments already given are canceled and the offices will remain closed.
These measures will be in force and will be applied in all the offices, delegations and central services of the Tax Agency of Catalonia until further notice. They add up to the previously adopted by the Government of Spain regarding aid to SMEs and the self-employed.
